Stroke

What is Stroke?

A stroke, sometimes called a “brain attack,” occurs when blood flow to the brain is interrupted. When a stroke occurs, brain cells in the immediate area begin to die because they stop getting the oxygen and nutrients they need to function.

Stroke Treatment at NEUROMED

The Stroke Clinic is an outpatient clinic for individuals who had signs and symptoms of a stroke and the clot was dissolved in a hospital, and then it led to the emergence of some side effects such as: slurred speech, partial or complete paralysis of one or all limbs. Often a stroke patient will show at least one of these symptoms.
In the clinic, the patient will meet a specialized doctor with case reports, from which the doctor can determine the appropriate treatment protocol.
Treatments include:
- Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)
- Phusical therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

Stroke Tests at NEUROMED

Stroke can be predicted before it actually occurs through the (TCCDDuplex technology, which is only available at NEUROMED clinics.
